Through Rain, and Sleet, and Snow and Sun – Designing and Building for the New England Climate

On Wednesday, April 4th, CUMAR Marble and Granite hosted the Northshore kickoff event for Boston Design Week in their Everett showroom. Moderated by This Old House host, Kevin O’Connor, the dynamic presentation entitled, “Through Rain, and Sleet, and Snow and Sun – Designing and Building for the New England Climate,” brought together some of the home industry’s leading experts in home and landscape design and construction.

The panelists – Stephanie O’Brien, CUMAR Marble and Granite; D. Michael Collins, D. Michael Collins, Architects; Stephanie Horowitz, Zero Energy Design; Kenneth Vona, Kenneth Vona Construction and Greg Lombardi, Gregory Lombardi Design, shared what new products, technology, innovative ideas and design trends will sustain your home for years to come after a build or renovation. And, once your dream home is finished, what can you do to protect your investment from the ever-changing, harsh New England weather.
