President & Owner
Smart, savvy and a super high-energy travel junkie and fan of the Boss, Joanne was recognized as one of the 2015 Top Women in PR by PR News and one of the top 10 PR professionals by Women’s Business, Boston. Joanne’s experience spans over 25 impressive years. This woman knows how to tell a story that gets noticed.
Before she began JDCommunications, Inc., Joanne’s experience included working throughout Boston on the agency side, as well as the client side. Her ability to offer clients smart thinking and honesty, without “yessing” them, quickly earned her a reputation as a PR professional who could really get the job done.
Involved in charities, and professional organizations, Joanne served for eight years on the Board of Directors for The Room to Dream Foundation and five on The Paul R. Matthews Foundation. She is an associate member of the International Furnishing and Design Association (IFDA), the National Association of Professional Women, and the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB). Joanne holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Oswego, a Master of Science in Communications and Public Relations from Boston University and a certification in Public Relations studies from Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Studies.
Joanne lives on the South Shore with her husband and is so proud of her two successful daughters, she hired them. When she isn’t telling her client’s stories, she’s making her own, traveling (anytime, anywhere), spending time on the Cape, cooking (Italian, of course), going to the theater, and concerts (she’s a devoted fan of Springsteen and Buffet), and enjoying as much time as possible with her wonderful family and friends.
