With each season comes new weather, holidays, trends, and twice a year, a new Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Collection! The Spring 2017 Collection has officially hit stores, and we have our hands on the new catalog in the office. Sometimes it’s hard to call what I get to on a daily basis “work,” because flipping through the pages of the new catalog is so much fun! I can’t help but envision my very own dream home full of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams’ products. Hopefully, someday it will be a reality!
The Solange Collection is probably one of my favorites for this season. It’s the perfect mix of classic and modern, and the pebbled leather texture made from stingray skin impressions is so unique! I love the light shade of the finish; it’s subtle enough so as not to clash with other pieces of furniture, but the signature red lacquer pop of color found within each drawer’s interior keeps it fun. You can purchase desks and drawers of varying sizes in the Solange collection, so your whole room will tie together effortlessly. The champagne-brass framework on these pieces is a beautiful detail as well. This collection is long-lasting, affordable, and environmentally friendly. What more could you want?

My bedroom is full of more clothes than I know what to do with, so I would opt for the Solange six-drawer chest in my dream bedroom. I need as much storage space as possible to keep my room clutter-free! The Solange desk is super versatile – it can be used as either a study space or a vanity. I think I would use mine as a vanity. After all, if we’re talking about dream homes, I’d totally have a separate office anyways!
With the Solange Collection as the base for my bedroom furnishings, I’d like to keep my bedroom delicate and sophisticated by opting for even more neutral shades. The Theodore Tall Floating Rail Bed features a large dramatic headboard with square button tufting accents. It’s offered in varying shades of stone-colored velvet that complement the Solange pieces. Keeping the bed frame simple is the way to go if you ask me because now I can accessorize to my heart’s content. There is no such thing as too many pillows, and they’re an easy and affordable way to mix up your bed’s look. MGBW’s Tibetan Wool Square Pillow is a must-have. The soft and luxurious texture looks chic and is perfect for cuddling up. The Modern Soutache Pillow features a French-inspired geometric pattern with brown and beige tones that coordinate with the room perfectly.

The Filmore Bookcase is a great way to make the most out of wall space. The asymmetrical shelving is to die for; it looks like a functional piece of artwork. Speaking of which, MGBW has the perfect piece of wall art for my dream bedroom. The “Abstract 1” piece is a large abstract painting that has, you guessed it, shades of brown, beige, and gold. It looks like it was practically made to go with the Modern Soutache Pillow, and it picks up on the finish and framework of the Solange desk and drawer.

I saved the best detail for last. One of my favorite pieces from the new collection has to be the Roxanne chair. It is a cute and contemporary take on the traditional rocking chair. The Keswick-Lime color brightens up any corner of the room, and it even matches Pantone’s 2017 Color of the Year! It is a major wow-factor when paired with the neutral palette of the rest of the room.
There you have it! The possibilities are endless when it comes to designing your dream bedroom with pieces from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams. Whether you want a bright and modern design or subdued and classic feel, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams has it all. Now, excuse me while I look at the Spring 2017 Collection catalog again…
